Two veteran Christian publishing marketers are settling into new roles this week.

The Baker Publishing Group has announced that Bob Gaudet has accepted the position of executive vice president of marketing and publicity, where he will oversee all six of Baker Publishing Group’s divisions including Bethany House, Revell, Baker Books, Chosen, Baker Academic, and Brazos Press. Gaudet’s appointment began on May 2.

In a statement, Baker cited Gaudet’s 12 years of experience in trade, academic, and children’s publishing and his “proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, launching new products, and building relationships with authors and partners.” Gaudet most recently served as vice president of marketing for Zondervan Bibles, a division of HarperCollins.

“The Baker family has been serving the church with thought-provoking, impactful books for nearly 90 years, so it is a privilege to be able to participate in this mission,” Gaudet said, in a release.

Meanwhile, Eerdmans Publishing Company has announced Will Bergkamp will join the company as vice president of sales and marketing as of June 5.

Bergkamp joins Eerdmans after most recently serving for two years as CEO and publisher with Friendship Press, the publishing arm of the National Council of Churches. In an announcement, Eerdmans said Bergkamp, whose experience spans some 20 years and numerous roles, will oversee sales, marketing, and publicity strategies for both the adult program and the company’s children’s imprint, Eerdmans Books for Young Readers.
